A wave in my belly

I think that I just felt the baby moving for the 1st time. It was like ants walking on my belly. The ants we have in Europe and not the fire one, you have in Texas ;-)

It felt really strange but what a relieve to finally feel that it's real... I wish Francis was with me and not both of us in our respective offices.

I already love you little baby!!

Mommy's new car

This is the brand new car Daddy offers Mommy when they find out they were expecting me.

It's a Nissan Qashqai.

Mom says that is was too big but Daddy replied that he wants us to be safe
Mom says I'm one month pregnant it's too early but Daddy replied that he rather have her get use to the car now than later with a big belly or worse when I will be next to her.

At least there is plenty of room for me and all my stuffs

My doc appointment

We were running a bit late for the appointment so it all had to go a bit fast.
We heard the baby's heart beat but the doctor wasn't really happy with it. From the sound of it he directly said "the baby is doing great but he is telling me his mom is exhausted"

He said that I needed to lay down a lot more and be lazy, this is the reason why my belly is often hurting. I 'm just exhausted and stressed out. He said that we will wait until after our trip to Texas and that if it was always the same way he will only allowed me to work part time.

I have 2 more weeks to go until our trip and than we have the next appointment the day after our return.

I'm not the type to stay lying on the couch all day but the doc said that some woman are like that and need to be resting during the pregnancy. I don't have to feel bad, it's just the way it is.

I checked with Francis and even if this will means a lot less money during the next year, we will be able to survive, we have seen worse.

We will do what's good for the baby to be healthy.

We will see...

Daddy's company party

Last Saturday Nov 20 was Daddy's company party. He organized this get-together for his employees.
For this year's speech Mom says that he was a lot less stressed than for his speech last year. I guess he is now used to it and will be able to help me out with my speech later at school ;-)
You can see my grandma behind him, she is working at his office. We will call her Mamy Nad from now on since that the way she would like me to call her.
This day was a lot of work but everyone was happy so it was worth it. Dad, Mom & Mamy Nad were just exhausted at the end of the day and dad was still busy cleaning up on Sunday.

Mom & Mamy Nad working in the kitchen to get the BBq ready. At the end on the day Mom was so tired from all the back and forth between the kitchen and the buffet that she couldn't walk any more. She even felt down the stairs at home and got her bottom all bruised. Do not worry about me I didn't feel a thing!!

I don't really know what to say, but I just wanted to thank y'all for all the messages that you left. It's a big step in a man's life but I'm ready to take it . First it was difficult to realize, but after the echo it looks so real and now I can stop thinking about it. I can't wait for him or her to be there. People ask me if I want a boy or a girl, it doesn't Mather. I just want her or him to be healthy, smart and pretty (like his daddy).

My new passport should be ready next week and the dollars are ordered, so now we ready to go.

I hate shopping but now I can't stop thinking about buying stuffs for the baby.

Somebody please help me!!

Ps: Not Nadege because she won't be a very good help, she seems even worse than me!

An happy uncle

Here is Jason, Francis' little brother,his is really proud to say that he will be uncle soon. Of course the whole pregnancy raised a lot of questions about the "flowers and the bees" ;-) I found a book to help me out with it and Jason can now follow the evolution of the baby.

Our trip to Texas

It's now confirmed, we will be leaving for 10 days to Texas. We will be there on November 10th and leave on Nov 20th.

This should give us plenty of time to shop and for Francis to meet my friends there.

We now have the flights booked, the car rented and we know where we are going to sleep... We are only waiting for Francis to go get his new passport...

We choose a flight via london which means that we will have quite a long flight from Europe straight to Texas. Almost 11 hours to sleep and keep ourself busy..

Hopefully the time will fly because I can't wait to be there

This is a picture of Mommy and Daddy a long time ago. It's the only one they found to add on the blog for the moment. I thought it will fit as they were already celebrating ;-)

Let's introduce myself

Hello my size is 7,5 cm from head to bottom.
My parent couldn't believe how dynamic I am. I kept on moving during the 20 min of the echo.
Daddy even freaked out when seing how fast my little heard was beating.
That's the moment my parents realized its was for real now.


Mommy says:

I'm about 14 weeks pregnant now. From what I saw on the internet the baby should be there around April 6 but we never know.

We got the result of the test last week and everything seems fine, hope the doc know more precisely when the baby is due on our next visit October 25. We are actually not even sure yet when I got pregnant. (Some persons don't even have time to think about it that it's there)

We are going to Texas for a week on Novembre 10. We will get the baby's room there and probably a lot of other things. Not the furnitures but all the deco.

I'm so excited Francis will finally meet my friends and family there. He hears me talking about them so often. Since Texas is part of my heart as well as he is, this is really important to me. Hope they will go along.

We are busy with picking names but it's not really easy. We want a name which will sound good in 3 languages... We are lucky that we still have a few more months to go.

We should know if its a girl or a boy on Nov 3. Indeed even if we are just supposed to have 3 echo here in Belgium, we chose to do one extra to be able to shop the right way while in Texas
;-)
To be honest Francis would like to do a lot more. I bet that if he could he would instalate a 24h camera on my belly to follow the whole evolution in live!!

We went to a baby fair yesterday and he was ready to buy everything.

Gosh that kid is going to be spoiled!!
